2015: I adopted Scout

At 11 years old, I noticed that ferrets were half off at a pet store and brought the flyer home to my dad, asking if I could get one. Having owned ferrets before, he knew they wouldn't be the right fit for me and asked why I didn't want something more "normal," like a puppy. I remember replying that I didn't even know that was an option. For the next week, I sat at our home computer searching for a puppy to call my own. After meeting someone with a Pomeranian, I knew that was the breed I wanted. I narrowed it down to two listings: a group of 8 week-old brown Pomeranian puppies, or one 5 month-old black and white Pomeranian named Treasure. When my parents said we could go visit one of them, I chose Treasure, even though they were confused why I wanted to see just one instead of many. After driving over an hour to meet her, she ran straight to me the moment I walked in, and I just knew. She sat in my lap on the drive home in the back of my dad's truck, and that was when I said I wanted to name her Scout. That moment became the beginning of what would eventually grow into the Scout2015 pack.

2016: We started social media!

In 2016, all of my middle school friends were raving about the app Musical.ly, so I created a private account that was only mutual with friends, as that was what my parents allowed at the time. I started posting Scout there for my 15 friends, sharing a cute video of her just for fun. Pretty quickly, my friends told me that posting a dog like that "wasn't normal" and that I shouldn't keep doing it. But I loved posting her, so I asked my mom if I could create a separate public account just for Scout, as long as I didn't show my face. She said yes, and that's when we officially started making content together.

2017: When it started feeling real

In 2017, I had no intention of anything going viral. It all started with videos on my tablet, running around, filming Scout, making lip-syncs and silly comedy videos just for fun. There was no plan or expectation behind it. But one day, a video hit 100 likes. Then another reached 1,000. I remember thinking, hey… this is actually really cool. That was the moment it clicked that something special was happening, even though it still felt like we were just playing and having fun.

2018-2019: Our first big milestones

By 2018 and 2019, everything started growing faster than we ever expected. Our following reached around 300,000, and for the first time it felt like people truly knew Scout. Fans recognized her, waited for new videos, and showed up every day. During this time, we received our first platform features, and Scout was even crowned on Musical.ly. It was surreal to see something that started as fun videos turn into something people genuinely cared about. These years marked the moment we realized the Pawsitive Pack was no longer just a hobby. It had become a real community.

2020-2022: Growing faster than we ever imagined

From 2020 to 2022, everything moved incredibly fast. As people spent more time at home during COVID-19, the Pawsitive Pack continued to grow in ways we never expected. What started as consistent posting suddenly reached millions of people. During a time when the world felt heavy and uncertain, our videos became a small escape. Seeing Scout and the pack bring comfort, laughs, and familiarity to so many people was overwhelming in the best way. These years changed everything and showed us how powerful simple joy can be.

2023-2026: Grateful for every moment

From 2023 to 2026, the Pawsitive Pack reached over 9 million followers, something we never could have imagined in the early days. Along the way, the pack itself grew to five dogs, each bringing their own personality, chaos, and joy to the journey. What matters most is the community that has grown with us. Every comment, share, and message is a reminder that this has always been about more than numbers. We are incredibly grateful every single day for the support, the love, and the people who continue to choose to be part of our story.
